We often start our gatherings with, "Welcome Home!" Home is a place of belonging and relationship. Home is where we are formed, even as we pitch in and help wash the dishes.
If Evangel is home for you, come pick up a dish towel ... or check out one of the opportunities below. You may well find belonging and transformation as you serve with the rest of us in this church family / community of faith.
How many time have you said that the future is important? Exactly! It is indeed; so is the future of our church!

Learn how to help families and youth stay connected, encouraged, and growing in faith with Jesus! Youth leaders join our weekly youth nights, Sunday morning youth classes, and/or special youth events to help mentor youth, run events, serve our neighbours, and support families.
Adult youth leaders go through an application and training process -- we want to help you find a serving schedule that works, and the skills needed to impact teenagers. Want to chat more about what this could look like for you?
Help our service run smoothly on Sunday mornings by being part of the technical team who manage our in-house and online audio/video. Serve 1-2 Sundays a month. We will give you any training you need - experience is helpful but not necessary.
ProPresenter: Manage the powerpoint during the service.
V-Mix: Manage the cameras and switch video feeds. (We are currently at capacity for volunteers in this position)
Audio Tech: Operate the sound board and mix the audio channels.
Stream Tech: Run the livestream feed.
Comment Moderator: Encourage the online conversation and moderate the chat during the livestream.
Be one of the first faces people see when they walk in on a Sunday morning! Welcome newcomers to Evangel and help them feel at home.
We love using our space! Help us do the work people rarely see: cleaning and caring for the property, with a smile!
We need people to help set up and cleanup for special events like our shared meal.
Set-up: Come in the day before for 2-3 hours to move chairs and set up tables.
Cleanup: Stay after the special service or event for about an hour to help clean the tables, vacuum carpets, put away tables and chairs, and empty garbages.
Help us make our next shared meal go smoothly by setting up the room on Saturday or cooking and serving waffles on Sunday.
Do you enjoy cooking? We need people to cook for special events, like our Shared Meal Services and our Alpha group. We may sometimes let you know of a person or family in need that you could give a meal to.
If you have a food-handling certification, that's a major bonus!
Our Worship Teams facilitate the musical portion of our Sunday morning worship gatherings. We look for people who are skilled, but who also have a heart for worship. Humility and a collaborative nature are a must! Generally, our team members are scheduled about once a month (depending on the need). When scheduled, there is often a Thursday evening rehearsal, as well as a Sunday rehearsal that begins at 7:30 or 8 AM. We ask team members to check and practice the posted song list before arriving.
Band: The usual instruments on our teams are drums, acoustic/electric guitar, keyboard and bass guitar. Moderate skill and the ability to read simple chord charts is essential. Our needs change from time to time, as existing band members move away or step back, and new ones move to the city. We do have a limit in how many band members we can accommodate, but do reach out and check with us!
Vocals: Able to learn melody lines by ear and harmonize easily with other vocalists. At the time of writing, we have a full roster of vocalists, so we may not be able to accommodate you, but feel free to reach out and check!
