What We Believe

We are affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, whose official statement of beliefs can be found here. More informally, here's what we believe:

We believe that there is one eternal God, in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

We believe that God loves all people.

We believe that humanity is desperately messed up (sinful) and that we can only find healing, renewal and salvation through a relationship with Jesus Christ, who was born, crucified and then rose from the dead a couple of millennia ago.

We believe that the Holy Spirit draws us into that relationship with Jesus, helps us to understand truth, and empowers us to share it with others.

We believe that the Church was God's idea (despite our imperfections), and that followers of Jesus grow in their faith by gathering with other Christians to worship God and to engage with Scripture together. We participate in the practices of the Lord's Supper and water baptism for all followers of Jesus.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word, authoritative, credible, and trustworthy.

We believe that while looking forward to Jesus' return, we are responsible now to act justly, to love mercy and to bring good to our world, while inviting others into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
